Situation

The picturesque town of Arundel has for centuries been the seat of the Earls Marshall of England and is renowned for its Castle, Cathedral, Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust reserve, thriving arts festival, antique shops and markets. There are a range of local shops in the town with more extensive shopping in the cathedral city of Chichester, 11 miles distant.

Leisure pursuits are well provided for in the area. Arundel has tennis courts and a bowling green. There is horse and motor racing at Goodwood; golf at Goodwood, Angmering and Chichester; and sailing from Chichester harbour. The popular beaches at Clymping and Littlehampton are just a few miles away. Drama and music productions can be enjoyed at Arundel's Priory Playhouse Theatre and Chichester's famous Festival Theatre.
