Why should you live in Emsworth?
Originally a localised Saxon village in the early 13th century Emsworth was principally used as a port because of its convenient locality. Situated in the south-east corner of Hampshire, on the shore of Chichester Harbour. It is now used primarily for recreational sailing. There are two sailing clubs – Emsworth Sailing Club (established in 1919) and Emsworth Slipper Sailing Club (in 1921) both of which organise a busy programme of racing and social events during the sailing season.
Emsworth has fantastic transport links and is located near the junction for the A/M27 and the A3. There is also a local railway station with regular trains to main line stations such as Havant, Chichester and Portsmouth. There is an array of unique boutique shops within the town centre, along with two local primary schools – Glenwood School and Emsworth Primary School.
